Our Cemetery and Funeral Support

There are two large Jewish cemeteries in Colley Road, S5 and a smaller one at Waller Road, S10, which can be visited by arrangement. They are open during the month before Rosh Hashana (Jewish New Year) and a couple of weeks thereafter; and, at other times, by arrangement.  The Chevra Kadisha provides arrangements for Jewish burials and funerals. This is a loosely structured group of Jewish men and women who ensure that the bodies of Jews are prepared for burial according to Halacha (Jewish law) and are protected from desecration, wilful or not, until burial.
